[deepamehta-users] Possible improvements on DeepaMehta webinterface

Hi,

here are a few more issues i identified when working with the
webinterface. Please consider to integrate some of the proposals into
your next milestone (continuing the numbering from my last mail, see below).

6 In some cases the "What's Related" Area on the Page Panel blocks the
Browser/Webclient completely for a long (felt) time
    https://trac.deepamehta.de/ticket/643

You might have experienced this when revealing a workspace topic (as
that has usually pretty fast many topics associated).

7 Easify revealing of a specific Type (Topic or Association Type)
    https://trac.deepamehta.de/ticket/1042

8 Select on from a list of many hundreds through typing
    https://trac.deepamehta.de/ticket/330

I especially wanted to invite you to discuss a general solution for Nr.
6. I currently have no really good idea on how to get this improved
(without having paging or loading just a few hundred items at max which
we discarded some time ago). I favor a huge "What's related"-Button at
the end of the page panel which loads the topics on-demand and in-place.

Since introducing Tabs are now in the discussion, moving all related
topics into a "What's related?" Tab could solve this issue, too (the
browser window suddenly freezing and blocking any action for 10-20 secs).

You can find the trac ticket for Nr. 6 at
https://trac.deepamehta.de/ticket/643

At first i found that certain Topicmaps in the "DM4 Improvement"
workspace showed just too much information for me (as a person who just
wanted to join the talk) so i left. Now, after taking some time off and
trying again it felt a bit easier to read and work with them. Probably
because i looked around and saw them once before :)

Nice greetings,

M
