Hi devs,

I forward this mail that arrived to another list, in case anyone can
help Brendon, who has Java 8 on a Mac to install DM4.3

He is not yet on this mailing list, so please, if you answer him, make
sure that you put him in copy ;-)

best
C

Hi Brendon,

I guess you're using Java 7. As far as I know there is no principle
problem with running DM with Java 7 on a Mac.

Your error log shows that these Java packages are missing (resp. not
accessible):

	javax.activation
	javax.xml.namespace

As these are Java standard libraries it seems your Java installation has
a problem.
At the moment I can't say what the problem actually could be.

You could try this:
In case you have several Java installations available on your Mac you
could try switching to another one. Use the "Java Preferences" tool to
see the available Java installations and to define the preferred order
to use (by drag and drop). The "Java Preferences" tool is located in
/Applications/Utilities
(At least this applies to my OS X 10.6.8. The details may differ on your
OS X 10.9.4)

Still during this week i'll test DM on a OS X 10.9 machine, and
hopefully I can you provide with further information then.

Thanks for your interest in DM!

Cheers,
Jörg
