Summary: Bean generator throws NullPointerException

Details: The ApplicationService's bean generator (createTopicBean()) throws a NullPointerException while following deep relations if related instances are missing.

Example: starting from a person instance, the "Address -> City" relation can't be followed if the person doesn't even have an address assigned.
