Summary: Socket connections lost through timeout

Details: On some plattforms (especially Windows) socket connections do break when not used for a while. This is particularily an issue for the rarely used messaging and file transfer connections.

Degree of difficulty to fix: easy.
All sockets needs to be set for no timeout programmatically.

Estimated time effort: 1 hour.

Timeout is now disbaled for all sockets. Not tested on Windows and Linux (only Mac OS X). Does it help to avoid broken connections?
